
England vs Pakistan (ENG vs PAK) 2nd Test Day 4 Live Cricket Score Updates: England are batting on Day 4 in the 2nd Test, after Pakistan were bowled out for 236 in their first innings.
Rain prevented any ball being bowled on the third day. Pakistan had ended day two on 223/9 in its first innings with Mohammad Rizwan unbeaten on 60 and Naseem Shah 1 not out. James Anderson and Stuart Broad have both taken three wickets. Chris Woakes and Sam Curran have one victim apiece, with the other wicket being a run out. England lead the three-match series 1-0.
Only 10.2 overs were bowled on Day 4 before the players went off for rain. The second session is scheduled to begin in another 10 minutes but will the playing conditions recover enough for play to resume?
So, we have our first long delay on Day 4. Close to one hour being washed out now. And the rain pelting down is now heavy, according to reports. Lunch is scheduled to be taken in 5 minutes. So we are guaranteed to not have any cricket for at least another 45 minutes. The good news though is that the weather is predicted to clear up later today. So we should have some action - but later rather than sooner.

Shaheen Afridi begins proceedings for Pakistan as England begin their second innings. Four-men slip cordon in place.
Mohammad Rizwan is caught after a miscued shot goes up in the air and Crawley takes a simple catch. Rizwan's innings ends for 72. Pakistan get 236. England batsmen to come out soon to begin their first innings. Pakistan's innings lasting 20 minutes on Day 4. The visitors added 13 runs from 5.2 overs today.
England close in on Rizwan and manage to stop a single off the last ball. They get Naseem Shah on strike for one whole Broad over. And the No 11 survives. Rizwan going up to have a word with him after every ball. Anderson is smashed for a four by RIzwan, who moves into his 70s. RIzwan then gets off the strike off the fifth ball. PAK 236/9 after 91
Again, Rizwan shields Naseem Shah for almost the whole over, steals a run off the fifth ball and keeps strike for the next over. Taking a few blows to the body when need be but Rizwan has proven to be a wall for England's bowlers. Thick edge for a couple of runs to fine leg. Clear skies with puffy clouds in Southampton, according to reports from the ground. The players are also out practising on the outfield. 10 minutes to what should be the start of Day 4 and some actual cricket. Pakistan, over three days, have only been able to bat 86 overs, with Rizwan's resilient 60* taking them to a respectable score.
Finally some good news coming from England, as per latest reports the rain has stopped and the action on Day 4 is likely to start on time.
Weather once again not looking too promising for Southampton, rain predicted from early afternoon. The weather, which was looking better...now looks considerably worse.
