Prez’s police medals for 2 BSF DIGs, 2 IPS officers

Jaisalmer: Jaisalmer resident BSF DIG Ravi Gandhi will be given President’s police medal for distinguished services on the occasion of 74th Independence Day. Apart from Gandhi, Rajesh Kumar, BSF DIG of Jaisalmer sector south has been conferred with Police Medal for meritorious services.
BSF official source told TOI that DIG Ravi Gandhi hails from Pokhran. He has served at BSF Rajasthan Frontier, Jodhpur as DIG Intelligence and DIG PSO from 2014 to 2019.
BSF source added that Jaisalmer sector south BSF DIG Rajesh Kumar was appointed as sector south DIG in 2018.
Meanwhile, two IPS officers from Rajasthan will be honoured with President’s police medal and 16 police officers and employees will be honoured with police medals on Independence Day.
ADGP Sunil Dutt and DIGP Sanjay Kumar Shrotriya have been selected for the President’s police medal from the state.tnn
