Amit Shah back home, to remain in isolation for a few more days

New Delhi: Home minister Amit Shah has tested negative for Covid-19 and is back home from Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon where he had been admitted since August 2 after testing positive.
Sharing news of his recovery on Twitter on Friday, Shah said: "My Corona test report has come out negative today. I thank God and also express my heartfelt gratitude towards all those who reached out to me and my family and wished me good health. I will be under home isolation for a few more days as advised by doctors."
Shah also made it a point to thank the doctors and other hospital staff at Medanta. "I am grateful to all the doctors and paramedical staff at Medanta Hospital for helping me beat Covid-19," he tweeted.
It was on Twitter only that Shah had put the first update about testing positive for Covid-19. He had tweeted on August 2: "On showing initial symptoms of Corona, I got myself tested and the report is positive. I feel fine but I am getting admitted to hospital as advised by the doctors. I request all those who have come in my contact in the past few days, to isolate themselves and get themselves tested."
The minister had been active on social media during his stay in the hospital.
