Indian Companies Appeared In Fortune 500

The ranking is basically based on total revenues for their respective fiscal years on or before March 31st.

Fortune is a US based global media organization dedicated to provide knowledge about business to its readers and attendees.

Fortune Magazine was founded in 1929 by Henry Robinson Luce in the wake of the great Economic Depression. This Magazine was made for influential in his early days Luce said that “the Ideal Super-Class Magazine for ‘Wealthy and Influential people.”

This Magazine publishes annual rankings of top 500 corporations worldwide. The ranking is basically based on total revenues for their respective fiscal years on or before March 31st.

 This year overall  7 indian  companies featured in this magazine names are as follows:

#96th Reliance Industries

As compared to previous year Reliance has jumped 10 places to be into the world’s top 100 companies on the Global 500 list. This is the highest ranked achieved by any Indian company on this list.

Reliance Industries constructively appeared on Fortune  500 list for 17 years now.

Back in 2012, Reliance appeared on the top 100 in the list, its rank was 99thbut dropped in consecutive years to rank 215thin 2016.

#151 Indian Oil Corp (IOC)

IOC has slipped 34 numbers to be on this rank, in 2019 Fortune Global 500 Edition the company was on 117thranking

#190 Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC)

ONGC ranked 160 in 2019, slipped 30 ranks in 2020 edition.

#221 State Bank of India

The biggest bank of India has accelerated 15 ranks its position than last year, in 2019 the position was 236th

#309 Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL)

#337 Tata Motors

#462 Rajesh Exports

These were the biggest Indian companies who appeared in the Fortune Magazine.
