Gautam Buddh Nagar on Saturday recorded 102
new Covid-19 cases, pushing the district's tally to 6,408, official data showed. The number of active cases in the district stood at 867, up from 826 on Friday, according to the data released by the UP Health Department for a 24-hour period.
The district currently ranks 15th in the state in terms of active cases, the data showed.
According to the data, 65 more patients got discharged during the period.
So far, 5,498 patients have recovered from Covid-19 in Gautam Buddh Nagar, the third highest among districts in UP after Lucknow (8,994) and Kanpur (5,548), it showed.
The district has so far recorded 43 deaths linked to
coronavirus and the mortality rate among positive cases stood at 0.67 per cent, according to official statistics.
The recovery rate of patients dropped slightly to 85.79 per cent from 86.21 per cent on Friday, as per the statistics.
The district currently has 280 containment zones across
Noida and Greater Noida, with 245 of them under category one (single Covid-19 case) and 35 under category two (multiple cases), according to an official statement.
In or out movement in containment zones, except for medical staff and personnel engaged in essential services, is prohibited, it added.
Meanwhile, Gautam Buddh Nagar dropped to 15th position on the list of districts in the state in terms of active cases.
The maximum active cases are in Lucknow (7,462) followed by Kanpur Nagar (4,126),
Gorakhpur (2,315), Varanasi (2,305), Allahabad (2,271),
Bareilly (1,989), Ghaziabad (1,026), Saharanpur (1,003),
Aligarh (975), Ballia (986), Azamgarh (983), Shahjahanpur (947), Kushinagar (927), Basti (923) and Deoria (908), according to the data.
There are 51,437 active cases across Uttar Pradesh.
So far, 96,231 patients have recovered across the state, while the death toll linked to Covid-19 stood at 2,393 on Saturday, showed the data.
