It took the NFL a while to divvy out its punishment in the Patriots videotaping scandal, which saw a member of Kraft Sports Production film the Cincinnati Bengals sideline. That controversy happened on Dec. 29. The NFL completed its investigation nearly six months later on June 28.

In the end, the Patriots lost a third-round pick and were fined $1.1 million.

Although the punishment seemed steep since the film crew was working on a web series episode called ‘Do Your Job,’ Bill Belichick and his team still lost a high draft pick. On Friday, Belichick was asked about the punishment and if it was frustrating since his staff had no involvement in the filming.

"Obviously the league had a long investigation on that," Belichick said Friday on a videoconference call. "Really, we’re just looking ahead. We have a lot of things in front of us here, especially getting ready for the season and all that. We’ve moved on. We’ll deal with what we have to deal with in front of us here. Just let everything go into the rearview mirror and move ahead."
