During their feud Kanye's wife Kim had called Taylor a 'snake' when the Lover singer claimed she had 'no idea' Kanye would call her a 'b****' in his song Famous, which was released in 2016.
Kim shared a clip at the time which showed Kanye consulting Taylor about whether he could use the line 'I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex', suggesting Taylor had lied about being forewarned about the song.
The backlash Taylor received from Kim's claim is thought to be the part of the reason behind why she took a hiatus from music shortly after.

Long-standing feud: Taylor and Kanye have been at odds for more than ten years, and the singer previously said Kanye and wife Kim made her go 'through hell for four years'

Dig: In one of his many posts, Kanye shared a picture of a snake at his Wyoming ranch before writing: 'Not gonna use a snake emoji cause you know why...'

Unkind: During their feud Kanye's wife Kim had called Taylor a 'snake' when the Lover singer claimed she had 'no idea' Kanye would call her a 'b****' in his song Famous
However, a clip that surfaced on social media in March appeared to show that Kanye didn't consult Taylor about the 'b****' lyric, and only asked her about the other line in the song, which was previously mentioned by Kim.
In the leaked footage that was released in March, Kanye was seen informing Taylor he is writing a song about her and asking her if she could hype it up by tweeting about it.
Kanye tells her: 'It has a very controversial line at the beginning of the song about you.'

Vindicated: A clip that surfaced on social media in March appeared to show that Kanye didn't consult Taylor about the 'b****' lyric, and only asked her about the other line in the song
Kanye then told Taylor she 'sounded sad', and the singer questioned if the lyrics were 'mean', at which point he reassured her that he didn't think they were.
He then says the lyric: 'To all my Southside n***as that know me best / I feel like Taylor Swift might owe me sex.'
Taylor laughs and says: 'That's not mean.'

'Framed': Just days after the alleged full audio of her phone conversation with Kanye leaked, Taylor shared that she felt 'vindicated' as it proved she was 'telling the truth the whole time'
Kanye goes on: 'If you felt that it's funny and cool and hip hop, and felt like it's the College Dropout and Ye that you love, people would be way into it, and that's why I think it's super genius to have you be the one that says, 'Oh I like this song a lot... this is cool.'
Taylor then tells Kanye she needs some time to think about it, adding: 'When you hear something for the first time you need to think about it, because it is absolutely crazy.'
There was no mention Kanye would call her a 'b***h' or suggest he 'made her famous' during the phone call.

Amusing: Over a snap from the family's Wyoming residence, he added: 'The ranch actually came with acres and a mule... we shaved the alpaca'

The start: Their feud began when the rapper jumped onstage as Taylor accepted her Video of the Year Award during the 2009 MTV VMAs and insisted Beyonce deserved the award instead
The feud between Kanye and Taylor was sparked when he invaded the stage during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when Taylor was honoured for Video of the Year.
Following the release of Famous, Taylor took a hiatus from the music scene.
Taylor has previously spoken about the extreme 'isolation' she felt and the attacks she endured in the weeks after Kardashian likened her to a 'snake'.
'A mass public shaming, with millions of people saying you are quote-unquote cancelled, is a very isolating experience,' said Swift.
'I don’t think there are that many people who can actually understand what it’s like to have millions of people hate you very loudly.'
