Suresh Raina announces retirement from international cricket

The news soon came out after his teammate and former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni announced his retirement.

The former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina announced his retirement on Saturday. Raina on his Instagram wrote, ""It was nothing but lovely playing with you, @mahi7781 . With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey. Thank you India. Jai Hind!"

The news soon came out after his teammate and former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni announced his retirement.

The southpaw at 19 made his ODI debut in July 2005 against Sri Lanka. While,  he made his Test debut, in July 2010, against the same country. The swash-buckling batsman scored a century on his Test debut. Also, he was a part of the Indian squad that clinched the 2011 World Cup.
