NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday evening shared a new version of the national song Vande Mataram composed by 100 artists as a tribute to the country on the 47th Independence Day. The latest version has been released the artists under the banner of Music Composers Association of India (MCAI).
PM Modi taking to Twitter, shared the composition terming it a "passionate and soulful tribute to our great nation" and requested the people to watch it.
The latest version of India's national song is among several that have been composed over the years celebrating India's heritage and diversity.
Known singer-composer Somesh Mathur said the MCAI celebrated the Independence Day 2020 with a new version of Vande Mataram which was created by a collaboration of top 100 composers of India, "showing their solidarity for a New Atma Nirbhar Bharat."
