MUMBAI: Over five months after filing an atrocities case against a former party colleague, a BJP corporator of Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC) was found to have faked her caste certificate.
District caste verification committee on August 10 held that documents submitted by Mira Road corporator Neela Soans, ahead of mayoral elections in February, were fake.
The committee directed Thane rural police to file a case of forgery and cheating against the first-time corporator.
