KALYAN: An FIR has been registered against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's Dombivli city president Rajesh Kadam and three other party workers at Tilak Nagar police station for allegedly making trespassing to under construction dedicated Covid hospital of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation without any permission and making video as well.
Kadam recently had made a video in which he had exposed that how dedicated Covid Hospital's work was going on at Dombivli gymkhana at very slow speed and costlier medical equipments like ventilators were lying in open in centre without any security arrangements.
Kadam in the video was seen picking one out of several ventilators given to KDMC under PM care funds from center which he kept in to his car and after sometime he again took same ventilator kept at same place to show that how such costly ventilators are kept without any security.
After making video, Kadam on Thursday morning posted the same on social media criticizing KDMC for delay in work and accused that one side Covid-19 patients are dying daily in absence of getting treatment while on another side ventilators are lying unused for over one months without any security personnel at the site.
After the video went viral on Thursday evening, a security guard of KDMC filed an FIR against four MNS workers including Kadam for tress-passing at centre without any permission.
On Friday after MNS leaders from city came to know about the FIR, they criticized KDMC's move. On Friday over same issue, MNS's leaders delegation led by MLA Pramod (Raju) Patil met to KDMC Commissioner Dr Vijay Suryawanshi to lodge their protest against KDMC's move demanding to withdraw an FIR.
Patil told TOI, "By filing FIR KDMC is trying to supress voice of opposition. During meeting the commissioner has assured us to withdraw case saying it happened due to misunderstanding but if he does not withdraw case we are ready to face it".
