Independence Day: CMRL conducts competitions for staff

CHENNAI: Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) celebrated the 74th Independence Day on Saturday.
Pradeep Yadav, managing director, hoisted the national flag and accepted the parade salute at the CMRL headquarters in Koyambedu.
Competitions such as chess, carrom, badminton, tennis, and brisk walk were conducted. Among the participants, 45 of them won prizes. The prizes were distributed by the managing director.
Sujatha Jayaraj, director of finance, Rajeev Narayan Dwivedi, director of projects, also participated in the event.
Staff wore masks and maintained social distancing as a protective measure against Covid-19.
