A55 closed

The A55 has been closed following the detonation.

The road is closed in both directions between J23 A547 Abergele Road (Llanddulas) and J22 (Old Colwyn).

Controlled explosion has been carried out

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal team have just carried out a controlled explosion.

Police say unexploded ordinance has been found on the beach.

There is a cordon currently in place.
