Poirot, 27, who finished his international career in June with 36 appearances for Les Bleus, will remain at Stade Chaban-Delmas until 2025.
Loosehead prop Poirot is the club's sixth player to agree a new deal in the past 10 days including France back-rower Cameron Woki and South African lock Jandre Marais.
Bordeaux-Begles, who led the Top 14 when the season was cancelled in April due to the coronavirus pandemic, travel to Stade Francais on the opening day of the new campaign on 4 September.
