CBSE Compartment exams 2020 link activated; apply through e-Pariksha portal

Image is used for representational purpose only. NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday activated the link for the candidates who wish to apply for the compartment/ improvement examination.
The CBSE Class 10th & 12th Compartment exainations are likely to be conducted in September 2020. The CBSE will announce the examination date later.
The students who appeared as a regular candidates in the CBSE Board examination in February/March 2020 and whose result has been declared as ‘Compartment', are eligible to fill the form online.
Candidates, both for Class 12th and 10th, can apply for the Compartment Examination 2020 through e-Pariksha portal - http://cbse.nic.in/newsite/reg2020.html starting from August 13, 2020.
For candidates appearing as Private candidate, separate circular as mentioned above is available on the website of CBSE link http://cbse.nic.in/newsite/private/index.html. Schools may advise/direct such “Private Candidates” to apply online directly through CBSE’s website, whenever approached.
Only those candidates whose name is submitted through the online process will be allowed to appear for the examinations proposed to be conducted in September 2020.
Schools will have to submit LOC for Compartment Examiantion in respect of regular students.
The CBSE said that for class 12, regular candidates who appeared in February/March 2020 through schools affiliated to the Board and declared as Compartment are eligible to apply only in one subject which was placed in Compartment.
For class 10, regular candidates who appeared in February/March 2020 through schools affiliated to the Board and declared as Compartment are eligible to apply in one or two subjects which were placed in Compartment, CBSE added.
The normal fee to be remitted per subject for class X/XII Compartmental examination is Rs 300 for schools in India. it is Rs 2,000 per subject for schools outside India. Candidates of Class XII who had applied for Improvement of Performance as regular candidates in the subjects for which examination was scheduled from 1st July 2020 to 15th July 2020 and their result has been declared as ‘NC’ in the subject concerned, can also apply for the compartment examination.
Candidates of Class XII who have appeared as regular candidate in 6 subjects in February/March 2020 and declared PASS but could not clear one subject can appear under Improvement of Performance category.
Schools will be informed about the date of downloading of the admit cards later on. In case of any discrepancy in the Admit card, schools should contact concerned Regional Office of the Board.
