COIMBATORE: Coimbatore district recorded its highest ever single-day
Covid-19 cases on Friday. The district reported 393 cases on Friday, taking the total number of cases to 8,277.
Selvapuram accounted for 39 of the fresh cases.
The fire service unit near PPG College in Vilankurichi which recorded 22 new cases on Wednesday featured in the medical bulletin on Friday.
While Mettupalayam recorded six cases, Karamadai recorded four more cases, Periyanaickenpalayam recorded three new cases, followed by Narasimanaickenpalayam which recorded one new cases.
Thudiyalur reported nine new cases, Kavundampalayam three new cases, Vellakinar six new cases, Saibaba Colony six new cases and R S Puram seven new cases.
Race Course in the heart of the city recorded six new cases. Town Hall area recorded 11 new cases.
As you move south from that point, South Ukkadam recorded five new cases, Podanur two new cases Kuniyamuthur recorded three new cases, Kottaimedu recorded one case, Madukkarai recorded seven new cases and Pollachi recorded four new cases.
Peelamedu recorded eight new cases, Saravanampatti two new cases, Ganapathy saw five new cases. The remaining areas recorded less than five cases each.
