Delhi Police Constable (Executive) Job Profile

Delhi Police is the law enforcement agency for the National Capital Territory of Delhi (NCT). However, the Delhi Police does not have jurisdiction over the areas around the National Capital Region (NCR). One of the major responsibilities of a constable (executive) in Delhi Police is to maintain law and order in the area. Therefore, let's look at the powers of a constable (executive) according to the Indian Penal Code:

a) Street Patrolling: As a police constable, he should maintain a peaceful law and order situation among citizens in a particular area. Therefore, the appointed police constable should visit the area for regular rounds.

b) Registration of complaints: A police constable will listen to the grievances of the people of the duty area and take the necessary action as per the order of the senior officer.

c) Multi-task duty: If a person is absent in the station then this duty will be assigned.

d) Assistant Sub-Inspector (SI) and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI): This is a field duty where a constable will assist ASI or SI during any criminal investigation.

e) Maintaining daily report: This job is nothing but making a daily report of patrolling on the road and reporting it to higher officials.

Salaries

of 35,000 to 38,000 rupees per month are given to the candidates who are admitted after passing all stages of the salary examination. 2000 of grade pay with 25,500 of basic salary and various allowances are also paid.
