Gujarat: Six-year-old girl's body found with throat slit in Rajkot

RAJKOT: The body of a six-year-old girl was found with her throat slit in Rajkot district on Friday.
The girls was the daughter of a migrant labourer who works on a construction site in Punitnagar area of Gondal road. The girl was missing since Thursday.
According to the police, the victim's father is a native of Dahod and lives in a temporary house on a construction site with his second wife Kali and girl's three-year-old step sister.
The girl went missing while playing near her Kaccha house and Damor had registered the complaint of kidnapping on Thursday night.
On Friday morning, the girl’s body was found from Punitnagar area. According to the victim's father, he went to sleep and his wife Kali sent the girl to play in a nearby area. When the girl did not return till evening, her parents started looking for her. Later, they approached the police station and police also launched a search but they could not find her till late night.
Assistant commissioner of police J S Gedam told media persons “It’s too early to say anything about this, we are investigating and interrogating the suspects.”
