Uttar Pradesh: Sharpshooter carrying Rs 25,000 reward on his head arrested after encounter

MUZAFFARNAGAR: An alleged sharpshooter carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head was arrested after being injured in a brief encounter, police said on Thursday.
Vinod, alias Kala, a member of the Minu Tyagi gang, was arrested on Wednesday evening, SHO of Chapar police station Pawan Sharma said.
The accused was injured in the encounter with police personnel, following which he was arrested, he said, adding Vinod was wanted in over 18 cases of extortion and murder among others.
