Mumbai: Man booked for torture, stealing mom’s pension

MUMBAI: An 80-year-old Vasai woman filed a case of physical and mental torture against her son for allegedly taking away her ATM card and withdrawing her pension since the March lockdown.
Kamlini Kamble recently phoned Manickpur police, who visited her residence and booked her son Shirish. No arrest has been made. Kamlini said the harassment by her younger son began during lockdown. He lost his job and eyed his mother’s monthly pension of Rs9,000. Her husband, who died in 2001, was a government employee
