NEW DELHI: <a href="/topic/Nifty-Commodities-index" target="_blank">Nifty Commodities index</a> was trading with gains at 02:28PM (IST) on Thursday.

<br> Shares of <a target="_blank" href="/tata-power-company-ltd/stocks/companyid-12918.cms">Tata Power Company</a> (up 7.37 per cent), Hindalco Industries (up 3.98 per cent), Hindustan Zinc (up 1.64 per cent), PI Industrial (up 1.48 per cent) and UltraTech Cement (up 1.27 per cent) were among the top gainers.

<br> While <a target="_blank" href="/coromandel-international-ltd/stocks/companyid-13851.cms">Coromandel International</a> (down 1.7 per cent), NTPC (down 1.63 per cent), Aarti Industries (down 1.62 per cent), <a target="_blank" href="/nmdc-ltd/stocks/companyid-11633.cms">NMDC Ltd</a> (down 1.32 per cent) and <a target="_blank" href="/shree-cements-ltd/stocks/companyid-13129.cms">Shree Cement</a> (down 1.25 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

<br> The Nifty Commodities index was trading 0.29 per cent up at 3108.25 around 02:28PM.

<br> Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 15.50 points at 11292.9, while the BSE Sensex was down 81.5 points at 38288.13.

<br> Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

<br> Shares of YES Bank, Ashok Leyland, Vodafone Idea, BHEL and Tata Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

<br> Shares of Aditya Birla Fashion (PP), Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., Galaxy Surfactants Ltd., Tube Investments of India Ltd. and Alkyl Amines hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mittal Life Style Ltd. and Sumit Woods Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
