NEW DELHI: Media stocks were trading on a positive note at 11:23AM (IST) on Thursday.
Shares of Navneet Education Ltd (up 4.99 per cent), PVR (up 4.54 per cent), Inox Leisure (up 4.0 per cent), DB Corp (up 2.98 per cent) and Dish TV India (up 1.16 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Hathway Cable & Datacom (down 1.83 per cent), TV Today Network (down 1.53 per cent) and Network 18 Fincap (down 0.73 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Media index was trading 1.58 per cent up at 1420.9 around 11:23AM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 44.00 points at 11352.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 125.83 points at 38495.46.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Ashok Leyland, Tata Power and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., Indiabulls Ventures (PP), Galaxy Surfactants Ltd., Tata Consumer Products and Alkyl Amines hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mittal Life Style Ltd. and Sumit Woods Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
