The Pininfarina Battista is shaping up to be the fastest production car ever manufactured in Italy, and in these three videos, we get a look into the history of the brand as well as the all-electric Battista itself.

In the clips, chief product and engineering officer Paolo Dellacha reveals that the small Italian manufacturer has nearly completed the development of the hypercar and has already finalized things such as the powertrain and chassis, as well as the high- and low-voltage systems. Dellacha adds that testing of the car will soon commence prior to customers taking delivery.

The particular Battista featured in these clips is the special-edition Anniversario. Presented to the world prior to this year’s canceled Geneva Motor Show in March, the Battista Anniversario will be limited to just five units worldwide as part of the 150-unit production run of the all-electric hypercar.

Each of the five Battista Anniversario models being produced will come equipped with the Furiosa package, which includes a carbon fiber front splitter, side blades, and a rear diffuser that is finished in two-tone exposed carbon and Iconica Blu carbon with pinstripes in Bianco Sestriere, as standard.

The Anniversario also features a special exterior paint scheme that combines Grigio Antonelliano, Iconica Blu and Bianco Sestriere. According to Pininfarina, it takes several weeks to hand-paint each car, while further differentiating the limited-run variant from the ‘regular’ Battista are lightweight 21-inch wheels.

Powering the Pininfarina Battista is an all-electric powertrain from Rimac which consists of four electric motors that put out a combined 1,873 hp and 1,696 lb-ft (2,300 Nm) of torque. This should allow it to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than 2 seconds, 186 mph (300 km/h) in under 12 seconds, and reach a 217 mph (350 km/h) top speed.
