Man loses Rs 40,000 in bid to sell bed

THANE: A 35-year-old manager was duped by a cheat of Rs 40,000 after posting an online advertisement. Police said while in his home town Sangamner, he bought a bed for Rs 34,000 in 2019. His wife passed away in March 2020, so he wanted to sell it.
On March 20, a man sent a QR code to pay. He was debited twice for Rs 20,000.
