Telangana: Unauthorised construction at penthouse razed in Secunderabad

HYDERABAD: While officials of Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) are busy tackling the Covid-19 pandemic, property owners are flouting building rules and constructing unauthorised structures.
The SCB engineering wing officials noticed one such unauthorised structure at Krishnapuri Colony in SCB ward no-IV and demolished it on Thursday.
Based on a complaint received from reliable sources, an inspection was conducted on the premises by the senior engineers. It was noticed that the property owner is building a third floor in a penthouse. We also verified with cantonment board records to confirm if any such permission was given to the property owner. We found out that permission had been given only for G+2 (first and second floor), SCB assistant engineer A Dinesh told TOI.
The structure was almost complete. The demolition squads razed the structure in the span of two hours, he said.
