Telangana: One dead, seven injured in freak mishap at Gouravelli project in Siddipet district

HYDERABAD: A 45-year-old worker died, while seven others sustained injuries in a freak mishap at Gouravelli irrigation project in Siddipet district of Telangana on Thursday.
The workers were at the Gouravelli pump house when two pipes reportedly broke as a result of which water started gushing out of them. Hit by the force of the water, the workers fell on some iron material kept on the floor.
One of the worker identified as Vanga Ramesh died on the spot. Five of the workers, who suffered injuries, were shifted to a hospital in Karimnagar while the remaining two were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
