Stock market update: BSE Capital Goods index gain; HAL surges 10%
NEW DELHI: S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading on a positive note at 01:11PM (IST) on Thursday.
Shares of Bharat Forge (up 11.14 per cent), Hindustan Aeronautics (up 9.87 per cent), Bharat Heavy Electricals (up 6.8 per cent), AIA Engineering (up 1.68 per cent) and Grindwel Norton (up 1.63 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Kalpataru Power Transmission (down 1.98 per cent), Graphite India (down 1.58 per cent), Lakshmi Machine Works (down 1.28 per cent), GMR Infrastructure (down 0.47 per cent) and V-Guard Industries (down 0.34 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 1.83 per cent up at 13612.69 around 01:11PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 11.00 points at 11297.4, while the BSE Sensex was down 67.46 points at 38302.17.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Alok Industries, Vodafone Idea, Ashok Leyland and IDFC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., Tube Investments of India Ltd., Galaxy Surfactants Ltd., Tata Consumer Products and Gujarat Gas Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mauria Udyog Ltd., 7NR Retail Ltd., Shree Nidhi Trading Co. Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Viaan Industries Ltd., Emmsons International Ltd., Colorchips New Media Ltd., SC Agrotech Ltd., Anubhav Infrastructure Ltd. and Rainbow Denim Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
