Gurugram: Veterinary doctor among two booked for raping teen, blackmailing

GURUGRAM: A veterinary doctor and his friend have been booked for allegedly raping and blackmailing a 15-year-old girl in Farrukhnagar. “The minor girl was being blackmailed for the last two months,” a police officer said.
According to police, in May, a veterinary doctor, identified as Ajay, lured and took the girl to an isolated place in his car and raped her.
“The accused had threatened the minor to not tell anyone about the incident. Since then, the accused and his friend have been threatening and blackmailing the girl,” the officer added.
Unable to face the continuous threat and blackmail the minor girl narrated everything to her mother on Tuesday, following which a case has been registered at Manesar women police station under Section 6 (sexual assault) of POCSO Act and Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC.
The girl’s father in his complaint mentioned that the veterinary doctor and his friend Ram Singh have been sexually exploiting his minor daughter. “A case has been registered on the complaint of the girl’s father and a police team is trying to track the accused,” police spokesperson Subhash Boken said..
In another case, a lawyer at Gurugram court was booked for allegedly sexually exploiting a colleague and abetment to suicide. On Monday, the woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her paying guest facility in Sector 38 leaving a suicide note.
According to police, they found a hand written suicide note in which the deceased had blamed the accused lawyer for her suicide. “A case has been lodged at Sadar police station,” SHO, Dinesh Yadav said.
