The trial of 4G Internet service will start after August 15 as a trial in each district of Jammu and Kashmir Valley. During the hearing on Tuesday in the Supreme Court on the plea for 4G internet restoration in Jammu and Kashmir, the central government has agreed to start high-speed internet facility in each district of Jammu and Kashmir as a trial. This facility will be started after August 15 in each district of Jammu and Valley and then it will be reviewed after two months.

The Center told the court that the committee decided that people should be given access to 4G internet gradually in the state and it will be reviewed after 2 months. The Center told the court that the special committee has decided to provide 4G Internet services on a state trial basis. Areas, where the trial will take place, are less sensitive. Let us tell you that on August 5 last year, the internet and phone services were canceled in the state, a day before the repeal of the provisions of Article 370 and Article 35A. However, a few days later a phone line, then a mobile phone and then 2G internet service was provided.

Attorney General KK Venugopal said in the apex court that an additional affidavit is being filed in this context. The special committee held its third meeting on 10 August. Had consultations with local agencies in Jammu and Kashmir. After this, the Center has taken this decision. The central government said in the court that internet service will be restored in selected areas of Jammu and Kashmir as a trial with monitoring. The Center also made it clear that Internet service will not be operational in the international or border areas of the Line of Control. Internet service will be in those districts where terrorist activities are less.
