NEW DELHI: Nifty Commodities stocks were trading higher at 02:56PM (IST) on Tuesday.
Shares of Jindal Steel & Power (up 5.53 per cent), JSW Steel (up 3.96 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 3.76 per cent), Hindustan Zinc (up 2.57 per cent) and The Ramco Cements Ltd (up 2.12 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Shree Cement (down 3.87 per cent), Adani Greeen (down 3.03 per cent), Aarti Industries (down 2.58 per cent), UPL Ltd (down 2.17 per cent) and Coromandel International (down 1.82 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Commodities index was trading 0.29 per cent up at 3120.0 around 02:56PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty 50 index was up 87.35 points at 11357.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 345.99 points at 38528.07.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, IDFC First Bank Ltd., SAIL, ITC and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Vaibhav Global, JSPL, Hathway Cable, Alkyl Amines and J B Chem hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade.
