With 71 new cases, Noida’s Covid tally breaches 6,000

Noida/Ghaziabad: As many as 71 fresh Covid cases were reported in Noida on Monday, pushing the district count past 6,000. Noida now has 6,016 Covid cases, of which 932 are active, according to the state report.
So far, 43 patients have died in the district after testing positive. In the past 24 hours, 68 Covid patients were discharged from various hospitals. The total number of recoveries now stands at 5,041.
Neighbouring Ghaziabad reported 58 cases on Monday, taking the total number to 5,909 in the district. According to the state report, there are 989 active cases in the district while 65 people have succumbed to the virus. One Covid patient died at Santosh Hospital on Sunday.
Meanwhile, 101 patients admitted to various hospitals have been discharged in the past 24 hours in Ghaziabad. In total, 4,855 patients have been sent home so far. Ghaziabad’s recovery rate stands at 82%, while the case fatality rate is 1.1%.
Since the government allowed home isolation of asymptomatic patients, 417 people have opted for it and 125 of them have completed their period.
