NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading on a positive note at 11:06AM on Turesday.
Shares of Emami (up 4.92 per cent), ITC (up 3.97 per cent), Dabur India (up 2.35 per cent), Colgate Palmolive (India) (up 1.46 per cent) and Godrej Consumer Products (up 1.35 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Britannia Industries (down 1.01 per cent), TATA Consumer Products (down 0.58 per cent), P & G Hygiene (down 0.31 per cent) and United Spirits (down 0.13 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty FMCG index was trading 1.33 per cent up at 32041.7 around 11:06AM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 57.35 points at 11327.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 235.19 points at 38417.27.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, SAIL, YES Bank, Tata Motors and ITC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Vaibhav Global, Hindustan Zinc, GMM Pfaudler, J B Chem and JSPL hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
