Ghaziabad: The health department plans to popularise
telemedicine app e-Sanjeevani with the help of 23 community health officers (CHOs).
The officers have been directed to help people visiting health centres get consultation through the
app prepared by the Union ministry of health and family welfare.
According to officials, CHOs will download the application in tablets given to them and when a patient visits, the official will connect the person to a specialist through the app.
Most CHOs have been busy with
Covid duty. But now, the health department has decided that they would be posted at rural health centres in a couple of days. According to officials, on Saturday, the district was at the 52nd position in the state in terms of seeking consultation through the app.
Officials said each CHO will have to provide assistance to at least five people through the app daily. A token number will generated when a person registers on the app. Health experts from various disciplines like medicine, gynaecology, ENT and ophthalmology are available. For UP, general OPD is available on the app from 9 am to 4 pm (Monday to Saturday). Specialist OPD timings are 2 pm to 4 pm.
