Travelers from Rhode Island will no longer have to self-quarantine for 14 days upon entry to New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, according to an announcement from New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Rhode Island was added to the quarantine list a week ago because it had reported a daily average of 10 new coronavirus cases per 100,000 residents over a seven-day period.
The list is updated every Tuesday, and Rhode Island’s number of new cases has dropped below the threshold.
Rhode Islanders are still required to quarantine for 14 days when entering Massachusetts, which uses a different, stricter standard.
