NEW DELHI: IT stocks were trading on a positive note at 11:12AM on Tuesday.
Shares of MPhasis (up 3.22 per cent), NIIT Technologies (up 1.03 per cent), Wipro (up 0.9 per cent), Infosys (up 0.74 per cent) and Tata Consultancy (up 0.53 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Info Edge (India) (down 3.11 per cent), Mindtree (down 0.62 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro Infotech (down 0.2 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.31 per cent up at 18216.5 around 11:12AM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty 50 index was up 63.20 points at 11333.35, while the BSE Sensex was up 255.07 points at 38437.15.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, SAIL, YES Bank, ITC and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Vaibhav Global, J B Chem, GMM Pfaudler, Hindustan Zinc and JSPL hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
