Fire service update
The fire service said they were called out to Rowland Avenue in Kinmel Bay at around 12.08am after reports a house was struck by lightning.
Crews attended and investigated but no fire needed to be put out.
The lightning strike caused around five square metres of damage to the roof of the property.

A Met Office spokesman said:
Cloudy in places through the morning but the cloud soon beginning to break to give long periods of sunshine, making for a very hot day. Dry for many although the chance of shower, possibly heavy and thundery, throughout the day. Maximum temperature 30 °C.”
