August 2020 has commenced on a celebratory note for Rana Daggubati, as the South star’s mid-pandemic wedding to Miheeka Bajaj at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad took over headlines. In keeping with their faiths, the couple chose to tie the knot in a Marwari-Telugu ceremony on August 8, 2020. From the bride's envy-worthy ensembles from her roka, haldi, mehandi and cross-cultural pheras, to the personalised details from the duo’s special celebrations, fans have had plenty of reasons to double tap on pictures during the festivities. After the wedding came to a close, snapshots of the newlyweds performing a post-wedding Satyanarayan puja at the Daggubati residence have now emerged on the internet. Take a peek at the rare snippets below.

Miheeka Bajaj wore a gold sari for the Satyanarayan puja

For the Satyanarayan puja, Miheeka Bajaj stood out in a pale gold handloom sari with motifs of lotuses in neutral shades. She complemented the six-yard with a solid-hued blouse, while a bridal red embroidered dupatta served as the pièce de résistance of the traditional look. The Satyanarayan puja ceremony also saw the bride indulging in her love for statement accessories, with two gold temple jewellery-inspired necklaces layered together. A matching maang tikka and earrings, along with traditional choodas and a bindi cinch the look together. Rana Daggubati opted for a white cotton pancha katta for the occasion.

Rana Daggubati’s family came together for a picture-perfect portrait

Just like the wedding, the Satyanarayan puja was limited to close family members, respecting the coronavirus social distancing measures. One heartwarming picture from the puja showed the groom’s parents, Daggubati Suresh Babu and Lakshmi Daggubati, his siblings Malavika and Abhiram, his uncle and aunt Venkatesh Daggubati and Neeraja Reddy, along with cousin Naga Chaitanya and wife Samantha Akkineni, posing together for a family portrait, with the newlyweds sitting in the centre. The entire family picked traditional attire made using Ponduru cotton.

Naga Chaitanya shared a sweet moment with wife Samantha Akkineni at the puja

Actor Samantha Akkineni also took to her Instagram page to share inside pictures from the occasion. Making a case for heritage weaves, the Jaanu actor opted for a simple green Taanbaan by Rta Kapur Chisti sari. “Handpicked, handcombed, and handwoven with devotion and love. A supple spinning of heritage Ponduru cotton woven into a perfect canvas by Andhra weavers. Embark on a new beginning rooted in the timeless Indian ritual of a perfect moment, the muhurtham of a marriage,” she aptly captioned her post.

The second picture shared on her account showed husband Naga Chaitanya in a cheerful mood, playfully tossing flowers on her head. The candid shot, of course, earned itself lots of likes and sweet comments from fans of the couple.
