Money laundering probe: ED not happy with Rhea Chakraborty, brother Showik Chakraborty and father Indrajit Chakraborty’s responses, details inside

Once again, Rhea Chakraborty, along with her brother Showik and father Indrajit were questioned by the Enforcement Directorate for over 9 hours on Monday. Sushant Singh Rajput's flatmate Siddharth and Rhea's ex-manager Shruti Modi were also called in. During the questioning related to a money laundering probe, the ED quizzed Rhea about the electronic evidence in connection with the case as they also investigate the phone records of conversations between Rhea, her father and her brother. An official from the agency reportedly also said that her father was questioned about the properties bought and the investments made in Mumbai in 2011. The actress had remained evasive during the questioning while claiming to be innocent. The ED again questioned Rhea and her family members regarding one of Sushant's companies in which she was a partner. She had earlier told the financial probe agency that Rs 1 lakh was the paid-up capital, which was shared by the three of them, namely, her, Sushant and her brother. While the ED continues to look into two properties owned by Rhea and her family, including their income tax returns for the past five years, reportedly ED officials were not happy with the response from the trio and they will be called in again.
