TO THE EDITOR:
I believe the FCA-PSA merger is a big mistake for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. I will watch and see as it bumbles along in a fast-changing environment, in which this merger is not, in my opinion, favorable to FCA long term.
It reminds me of Ford and Jaguar, among other tie-ups, that failed to gain long-term traction. General Motors-Saab was another failure. FCA has stronger legs being independent from what lies ahead, I fear.
