Heroin worth Rs 15 crore seized in Barmer

JAISALMER: The police seized 2.740 kilogram of heroin worth Rs 15 crore and arrested two persons in Barmer on Sunday.
Barmer SP Anand Sharma said during interrogation of accused in fake note case, one Khandu Khan was also involved in it and on Sunday his house was searched in which police recovered 1.740kg heroin in two polythene bags. When he was inquired he told that his neighbour Moolaram Jat had given him the heroin on which police searched Jat’s house and recovered 1kg heroin and arrested him, he said.
In counterfeit notes and heroin smuggling cases, the police so far have arrested seven persons, including a minor. The accused are being inquired about the source of heroin and involvement of other people in it.
