It has been 45 years since the veteran director Late. K. Balachander introduced Superstar Rajnikanth to Tamil film industry. Rajinikanth's debut movie 'Apoorva Ragangal' directed by K. Balachander also had Kamal Haasan and Srividya in the cast was released on August 18th 1975. In order to celebrate the legendary star's forty-fifth year in the industry, his fans had come up with a common display photo and had also started trended it in the social media with the hashtag #45yearsofRajinism on Twitter and other social media platforms.
The 45 years of Rajinism hashtag and the CDP was launched at the same time by several high profile actors including the legends Mammootty and Mohan Lal, who happen to be Rajini's contemporaries. The other top celebrities including Sivakarthikeyan, Dulquer Salmaan, Anirudh Ravichander, Vignesh Shivan, Lokesh Kanagaraj and many more too, joined the celebration.

On the work front, the superstar is all set with his upcoming film 'Annaatthe' directed by 'Siruthai' Siva. The film has Meena, Kushboo, Keerthy Suresh and Nayanthara as female stars. Though the movie was planned for a Deepavali release, the COVID-19 pandemic situation has affected its shoot. Looks like, the fans may have to miss their 'Thalaivar' on-screen during Diwali.
