While neither Priyanka Chopra nor Nick Jonas particularly love exercising, they've been making sure to work up a sweat to stay healthy during lockdown
As they hunker down together at their home in Los Angeles, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have been spending a lot of their down-time together, which includes couple workouts. “We work out together, do our thing, and then do our work and come back and have our nights together and it's really lovely,” Jonas shared about their new routine. In her latest Instagram photo, Chopra shared a playful snap of the two mid-workout, with her sitting on his back. “Push ups are my favourite exercise,” she cheekily captioned the snapshot.
Priyanka Chopra has never been the biggest fan of a classic workout routine, but has been taking Jonas's cue into her lockdown schedule. “I want to hit the gym but I work 15-hour days and I’m exhausted by the end of it,” she confirmed to Vogue India back in 2017. “Honestly, I work out only when I need to. My body responds very quickly to exercise, so I don’t need too long to tone up and get into shape.” Jonas is in the same boat when it comes to his affinity for workouts. “I hate going to the gym. I think everybody hates cardio to some degree. I'm not the kind of person who wakes up in the morning and can't wait to work out. I kind of dread it, actually. I see it as a necessary evil,” he shared in an interview.
The couple have been adding strength training workouts to their routine, and have been exercising outside, which can serve as a major mood booster. In a previous video of the duo exercising, Chopra and Jonas opted for dumbbell lunges to work their arms and core. “He’s an in-house piano teacher, an in-house physical trainer, and an in-house writing partner,” Chopra revealed about her husband, proving that he's been taking charge of their fitness regimen.
