APSET 2020 notification released; exam on December 6
The APSET 2020 for the year will be conducted on December 6, 2020 for recruitment and promotions of Lecturers/ Assistant Professors in Universities and Degree Colleges as per the UGC regulations for the year 2020.

NEW DELHI: Andhra Pradesh Govt on Monday released the notification for the AP State Eligibility Test 2020 on its official website.
The APSET 2020 for the year will be conducted on December 6, 2020 for recruitment and promotions of Lecturers/ Assistant Professors in Universities and Degree Colleges as per the UGC regulations for the year 2020.
Interested and eligible candidates, who wish to apply for APSET-2020, can submit their application through online mode on the official website https://apset.net.in/.
APSET 2020: Registration Fee
The candidates will have to pay registration fee of Rs 1200/- (for general and EWS categories), Rs 1000/- (for BC Category) and Rs 700/- (for SC/ ST/PWD/Transgender categories). The registration fee can be paid online using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking.
APSET 2020: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates, who have secured at least 55% marks in Master's Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC are eligible for this Test. The Backward Classes (BC) /Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Transgender/persons with disability (PwD) category candidates should have secured at least 50% marks.
Candidates who are pursuing their Master's degree or equivalent course or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master's degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed can also apply.
The candidates who have qualified earlier in APSET /UGC NET are not eligible to apply in the same subject they qualified.
APSET 2020: Age Limit
There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for test.
APSET 2020: Examination
There will two papers - Paper I and Paper II. The Paper - I will be common for all candidates appearing APSET. This will be bilingual (English and Telugu). While the Paper - II for the following subjects a) Commerce b) Economics c) Education d) History e) Political Science f) Public Administration and g) Sociology will be bilingual (English and Telugu). All the remaining papers are in English only except Hindi, Sanskrit, Telugu and Urdu.

APSET 2020: Examination Schedule
The APSET 2020 Paper-I will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. The paper will consist of 50 objective type questions. Each question will carry two marks.
The APSET 2020 Paper-II will consist of 100 objective type questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
Candidates should note that there is no negative marking.
