The catastrophic blast in Beirut led to the widespread devastation of Lebanon's capital city and has left at least 154 dead. A fire at the port acted as a catalyst in the explosion of thousands of tons of ammonium nitrate. According to CNN, a mining company in Mozambique says it was originally the intended recipient of the material. But the ammonium nitrate never made it to Mozambique. Instead, it was kept at Beirut's port for over six years before exploding earlier this week.

Containers of ammonium nitrate being shifted from Chennai

Over 690 tonnes of ammonium nitrate containers placed at Chennai Manali Sattva container freight station are now in spotlight after the massive explosion in Lebanon's capital Beirut earlier this week.
