NEW DELHI: <a href="/topic/Midcap-stocks" target="_blank">Midcap stocks</a> were trading on a positive note in Monday's afternoon session.

<br> Shares of <a target="_blank" href="/emami-ltd/stocks/companyid-5619.cms">Emami</a> (up 16.48 per cent), Divis Laboratories (up 11.58 per cent), PNB Housing Finance (up 9.97 per cent), Bharat Electronics (up 8.01 per cent) and <a target="_blank" href="/hindustan-aeronautics-ltd/stocks/companyid-9206.cms">Hindustan Aeronautics</a> (up 7.59 per cent) were among the top gainers.

<br> While Container Corporation of India (down 15.45 per cent), <a target="_blank" href="/rbl-bank-ltd/stocks/companyid-7750.cms">RBL Bank</a> (down 5.46 per cent), <a target="_blank" href="/muthoot-finance-ltd/stocks/companyid-33218.cms">Muthoot Finance</a> (down 4.35 per cent), Varroc Engineering (down 3.91 per cent) and KIOCL (down 3.57 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

<br> The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 1.16 per cent up at 14383.11 around 02:16PM.

<br> Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 45.30 points at 11259.35, while the BSE Sensex was up 118.3 points at 38158.87.

<br> Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red. 
<br> 
<br> Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, BHEL, BEL and Alok Industries were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
