Politics in Rajasthan has been under fire since 19 Congress MLAs, including former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, adopted rebellious tactics. After the Congress, the BJP has also started blocking its MLAs. Meanwhile, now the Bharatiya Janata Party has launched Gehlot Kursi Quit Campaign in Rajasthan.

The Bharatiya Janata Party launched a campaign naming Gehlot Kursi Choro on social media on the lines of British Quit India on August Revolution Day (9 August). As part of this campaign, many people, including many veteran leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party, posted their posts on social media.

Bharatiya Janata Party state president Satish Poonia tweeted that now the people of the state will not tolerate tyrannical, anarchic, indolent, corrupt government. Just as the slogan 'Quit India' was chanted on August 9, 1942, similarly the slogan of August 9, 2020 is Gehlot kursi Choro.
