Two girls die after stack of plywood falls on them in Thane

A case of accidental death was registered by the Shil Daighar police.
THANE: Two minor sisters were allegedly crushed to death after a huge stack of plywood sheets leaned against the wall collapsed on them at a godown in Shil area, late night on Sunday.
Preliminary probe by the police revealed the incident took place around 9pm when a stray dog jumped over the plywood stack leading it to tip over on the girls, who were sleeping beside it, thus trapping them.
The girls, aged 9 and 11 years, were taken to a government hospital in Thane where they succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
