UP: Driver killed, 30 injured as bus hits truck

KANPUR: The driver of a UPSRTC bus died while nearly 30 passengers suffered injuries after a bus rammed into a truck in Unnao district on the Kanpur-Lucknow highway in the early hours of Sunday.
The deceased driver has been identified as Haneef of Basti district.
Police said the UPSRTC bus was headed for Gorakhpur from Kanpur. In the early hours of Sunday, the bus reached Ajgain on the Kanpur-Lucknow highway, and a truck was parked by the roadside near a fuel station on the highway. Police said the driver probably could not spot the truck and rammed the bus into it.
