Kido Home sees an overwhelming response from parents across India and neighbouring countries
Global pre-school chain Kido Schools launched Kido Home approximately a week ago and is already seeing overwhelming responses from several Indian cities as well as in cities like Dubai, Hong Kong, Cairo, Kuwait and more.
Global pre-school chain Kido Schools had recently announced the launch of their online learning initiative, Kido Home. In just a week of launch, this home-based platform has received hundreds of enquiries out of which every 3rd parent has enrolled to access the personalized program for their child.
“The overwhelming uptick of parents joining the Kido Home programme in just a week of its launch is very encouraging for us to drive our online initiative even further. We have received a lot of response from across India as well as neighbouring countries like UAE, Saudi, Oman Egypt and Singapore. With the pandemic’s role in shifting the way education is imparted, we thought it would be best to extend our award-winning services to Indian parents across the spectrum”, commented Jitendra Karsan, CEO of Kido Schools India.
Amidst the pandemic, parents have had to struggle through multiple aspects when it comes to their children’s education — be it the lack of socialization among children or balancing their work full time at home as their children are around them 24/7. Kido Home was launched to help these problem areas and dilemmas among the parent community. The pedagogic theory focuses on learning for 2 to 6-year-old children.
Parent’s take on the Kido Home initiative
Priya Singh, a mother of a 5-year-old daughter said, “We have been enquiring with various online programs but they either lacked quality or were too tedious for my child to sit for so long. My husband came to know about the programs by Kido Home and they ticked all the checkboxes that we wanted in the curriculum for our kids. The curriculum and modules are designed to keep Isha occupied via their interactive classes. It has also helped us balance our work well with her classes, unlike other pre-schools where either me or my husband had to leave work for a considerable amount of time in a day.”
Priya also added, “Kido customized their offerings as per Isha’s learning curve and helped hone her learning using her interest areas. She loves to dabble in art and textural play, so the teachers very keenly picked up on that and are using structured play by using textures to teach her about several aspects.

Way Forward - Edtech is the new norm
While the education system has been delivering distant learning for higher education for a long time now, the same model is still at a nascent stage for early and primary education. Amidst the pandemic, EdTech/online education has hit an inflection point with a rapid rise in adoption among parents and students. The COVID-19 induced lockdown across the world is going to change consumer behaviour at a very fundamental level and online learning is set to be the norm till social distancing is in place.
In such a scenario, parents are looking for education opportunities that provide enrichment as well as professional guidance that builds their children to thinking, rational and competent individuals. According to Red Seer and Omidyar Network India, EdTech users — both paid and free unique users from in the K-12 to post K-12 segment —have seen a meteoric increase in user base from 45 million to 90 million.
Kido’s future initiatives
Kido Schools is one of the leading pre-school names in India and abroad. They are initiating a slew of measures in the near future that can widen and further democratize good quality education in the early education segment. According to Kido Founder, Aniruddh Gupta, “The first six years of a child’s life are the most important as this is the time where they absorb information at a rapid pace. From language to rational thinking, or even picking up on verbal and non-verbal cues, these years are the most crucial. Our aim, since we launched in India, has been to provide unparalleled quality of early education that develops children into thinking and independent individuals who are curious about lifelong learning. While social interaction is currently on the halt, we don’t want that to deter a child’ path of learning, which is why we are launching several other initiatives that will help parents take advantage of the award-winning curriculum curated by global early education specialists from some of the best universities across the world.”
