Domestic benchmark index NSE Nifty was trading 84.80 points up at 11298.85, while the BSE Sensex was trading 262.04 points up at 38302.61.
In the Nifty 50 index, Cipla, M&M, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Motors and UPL were among the top gainers on the NSE.
However, Hindalco Inds., Tata Steel, Hero MotoCorp, UltraTech Cement and Asian Paints were among the top losers.
